Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 navel oranges, medium size
quart of coffee ice cream
1/4 c. Kahula
2 egg whites
1 tsp. cream of tarter
4 T sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cut the top off the oranges fairly close to the top
Scoop out the orange being careful not to leave a whole in the bottom. Set the oranges spread apart in a muffin tin. Put a small amount of ice cream in the orange and freeze until hard. Pour just a touch of the Kahula into each orange. In a bowl mix the ice cream and the Kahula and freeze until almost firm. Scoop the ice cream into the oranges and cover. Put in the freezer until very firm. Overnight at least. Just before serving, set the oven to 400 º Whip the egg whites adding the cream of tarter and then the sugar a spoon at a time until the whites are very stiff. You can then pipe the whites over the oranges, or just use a spoon making sure that the ice cream is totally covered. Place in the hot oven on a tray and watch them until the merange toasts. Serve immediately.
