1 c. white sugar
½ cup shortening
1 eggs
½ c. sour milk
2 to 3 ½ c. flour
½ tsp. soda
½ tsp. B. powder
½ tsp. lemon extract or almond
½ tsp. vanilla
Topping: 1 8-oz. Package cheese,
1-cup sour cream,
½ cup sugar,
1-T. vanilla.
Fruit: chunk pineapple, madarian oranges (save juice from both) strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, grapes (red or and green) apples, plums, kiwi.

1.Crust:Mix, roll out on lightly floured surface ½ inch thick the size of the pan you are using (I use large commercial size sheet pan) Roll dough around rolling pin and unroll onto pan for easy transfer of dough. Bake at 375 degrees 15 min. DO NOT OVER BAKE
2.Topping:. Mix and spread over cooled crust.
3.Adding fruit: Use fruit that is colorful. I always use red, green, orange, and pineapple. Check the market and see what is available. Arrange fruit in a row or any creative way that suits you.
4.Glaze: Juice from pineapple and mandarin oranges (I use ¼ cup orange juice for full recipe) Bring juice to boil add ¼ cup sugar, 3 T. cornstarch mixed with a little water to thicken. Drizzle all glaze over arranged fruit and refrigerate. Will keep 2 days (easily) if kept cold.
