1 c. whole-wheat flour
1 c. white flour
2 c. warm buttermilk (or add 1-T. vinegar to regular milk)
1 c. white flour
2 eggs
2 T. baking powder
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. sugar or honey
1/4 c. ground flax seed, optional

Directions:

Combine dry ingredients well, add milk and eggs and allow to stand until bubbles start forming (about 10-15 minutes). Blue berries, or any favorite fruit may be added or just cinnamon or nutmeg. Fry as you would regularly.
