Sugar Cookies
Mix together:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup margarine or butter, softened (2 sticks)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 egg

Stir in by hand:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tarter

Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours. After refrigerated, divide dough into halves. Roll each half out and cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes. I usually bake for only 7 minutes so they are still nice and soft in the middle (no golden edges). This recipe makes about 25 regular sized cookies.
