1 cup margarine or butter
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp. baking powder
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Topping --- 2 T. brown sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar, eggs. Fold in sour cream and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. Spoon half the batter into greased and floured pan (round, square or tube). Put half the topping over that. Repeat with remaining batter. Bake 350º for approximately 50 minutes - sometimes less depends on pan.

I usually make these in little loaf pans for Christmas - nice gift for neighbors, friends, just little coffee cake for their breakfast.
