Notes: Most of the family likes both of the flavors. Gramma always made them for Easter and Christmas. We would have all of Daddy’s family with all the cousins in Gramma & Grampa’s basement. The tables would be from one end to another. The turkey was baked in a wood stove. All the other dishes Gramma made were either cooked or kept warm on that stove. 30-35 people would gather around. The Poppy Seed and Nusia (nut) strudel along with the Ice Kefilk would be sitting on a small table by the outside wall. I can see it now and still smell the mingling of all the wonderful aromas. But most of all see the family, and feel the love and goodness that Grampa and Gramma modeled. There is no treasure greater.
