1 1/2 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Struessel for Coffee Cake ----
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 T. flour
1 tsp cinnamon
2 T. butter
Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Blend shortening into flour mixture. Blend well beaten eggs with milk. Add vanilla to flour and shortening mixture. Pour 1/2 of batter in pan 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 3/4. Add 1/2 streusel mix when the other half of batter and cover with the rest of streusel mix. Bake at 350 (it does not say for how long!)

Streusel for coffee cake - Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon, blend in butter and stir in 1/2 cup nuts if desired.
