"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Personal Notes:
One of my favorite things to do when I lived in New Orleans was to go to Pat O'Brien's in the French Quarter. They had a dueling piano show and I loved to watch the two women play and have a Hurricane. They had wonderful waiters who could put loose change on their serving trays and, tapping from underneath, play music. The lighted fountain, winding spiral stairs and the festive atmosphere made it my favorite place to be.
