1/2 cup warm water
1 1/2 Tablespoons yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
Proof the yeast by mixing these ingredients and setting aside

1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs beaten
1 square of melted butter
4-4 1/2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine ingredients in large bowl milk, sugar and salt, add eggs then butter.
Now add the yeast mixture and mix in flour until it makes a sponge like dough. Cover and allow to rise until double. Shape into small roll balls and allow to rise again. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

This is a sweet dough and has been the favorite of the family for many generations. It makes great cinnamon rolls as well.
