½ C. butter
3 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1 1/3 C. sugar
2 eggs
½ C. flour
¾ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
¾ C. oatmeal
1 tsp. vanilla
Optional: 1/2 C. choppedwalnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Line bottom and sides of 9” square baking pan with large piece of aluminum foil. Grease foil with butter. Set aside.
Melt butter and chocolate in large saucepan over very low heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Add sugar; beat in eggs, one at a time, blending well. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to chocolate mixture with oatmeal and vanilla. Blend in walnuts if desired.
Spread evenly in prepared pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes. Cool; cut while still slightly warm. To store, wrap in extra aluminum foil.
