1/2 cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas (mashed with fork)
2 cups flour
1 tsp. each salt, baking powder, baking soda
3 T. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Add ingredients in order given in large bowl. Mix well. Pour into well-battered loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 60-70 minutes. If using a nonstick pan, lower heat to 325º and bake longer than 1 hour. Continue testing with a toothpick.
