1 can or bag sauerkraut (16 oz.).
1 tsp. caraway seed
1 tsp. salt
1 medium size onion (chopped)
2 tbsp. flour
2 tsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1) wash the sauerkraut and drain off, place in pot with enough water to cover.
2) add caraway seed and salt.
3) boil for 30 minutes.
4) in a small fry pan, fry onion in butter until light brown. Add flour to thicken.
5) when sauerkraut is boiled, drain off about half the water and add the thickening and sugar. Cook until sugar is dissolved.
6) serve hot with roast pork or roast duck and dumplings.
