1/2 lb. butter.
3/4 cups sugar.
3 cups flour.
1 egg yolk.
1/4 tbsp. vanilla extract.
1/4 tbsp. almond extract.
1/2 cup chopped almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk and flour, little by little. Add extracts and nuts. Roll into balls and shape into crescent. Place on an ungreased sheet and bake for 12 minutes at 375º.

Sprinkle with powder sugar.

For storing cookies:
Crisp cookies should be kept in a jar or canister with a loose fitting lid.
Soft cookies should be kept in an earthenware jar with a tight fitting lid.
