2 c. all-purpose flour
1 T. baking powder
2 t. sugar
1/2 t. cream of tartar
1/4 t. salt
1/2 c. shortening, margarine or butter
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar and salt. Cut in shortening, margarine, or butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Make a well in the center; add milk all at once. Stir just till dough clings together.
Drop dough from a tablespoon onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake in a 450º oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
Makes 10-12.

These are easy to make and are a great base for Mike's Amish Sausage Gravy! Oh! It is SO good! I usually just use Crisco (butter flavored) - or whatever combination of greasy stuff I have on hand.
