Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil
1 ounce (one small shot glass) of anisette
1/2 tsp baking powder
flour (about 2 1/2 lb.)
oil for frying

A basket

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients through baking powder together in a large bowl. Gradually add the flour into the batter. The dough should be soft but not sticky.

Divide the dough into batches. On a floured surface, roll the dough into a long rope about 1/4 inch think. Cut into 1 inch pieces.

Flatten the piece slightly and make an indentation on one size (like a cavatelli pasta). (You can do this by taking a butter knife or pastry cutter and running it against the length of the dough. This will cause the dough to curl like a cavatelli pasta.)

To make the traditional pattern on the cookie, roll the non-indented size on the side of a basket.

Fry the cookies in the oil until a golden color.
