1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup buttermilk
1-1/2 cup (6 oz.) grated cheddar cheese

Directions:
Directions:
cut butter into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; add remaining ingredients and stir well. Drop by covered tablespoonful, 2 inches apart on a large, greased baking sheet.
Bake at 425º for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
Makes 2 dozen.
