3 lbs hamburger (ground beef - dead)
3-4c chopped onion (yellow)
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
3-16oz cans diced/stewed tomatoes
3-16oz cans chili beans (+/or kidney beans)
2- 6oz. cans tomato paste (or 3 8oz cans tomato sauce)
1 c water
1 can tomato soup
5-6t chili powder
1t dried basil
1t salt
1t pepper
1/3c brown sugar (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef, onions and garlic. Add everything else in a big pot. Boil and then simmer for a couple of hours - will be ready whenever.

Toppings: finely chopped onions (white +/or red), sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese.
Eat with tortilla chips, crackers or homemade bread.
