1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 cup sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup quick oatmeal
1 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars until light. Add egg and blend well. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together. Add to creamed mixture and blend thoroughly. Add oatmeal, coconut and nuts and mix until well blended. Shape dough into small balls, place on lightly greased cookie sheet and flatten with tines of a fork. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes. When edges are lightly browned, they are done.
