2 cans dark sweet cherries
1/3 to 1/2 cup kirsch
1/2 cup sugar
lemon zest or orange zest or 1/2 tsp cinnamon(optional)
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup brandy
Vanilla Ice Cream

Directions:
Directions:
Drain cherries reserving liquid. Take 1 cup of juice and heat and add sugar till it dissolves, then add zest of used and then add cornstarch and thicken. Add cherries and kirsch. Place in top of chafing dish. Warn brandy and flame and pour over the cherries. Serve over ice cream.
