2 cups pretzels - crushed
1/2 cup sugar
1 stick margarine
8 oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
20 oz can pineapple with juice (I like to use crushed)
8 oz cool whip

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in 9x13 pan. Mix in 1/2 cup sugar and pretzels. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 min. Stir. Shut off oven and leave in until cool.
Stir together cream cheese, sugar, and pineapple with juice. Fold in whipped topping. Before serving, add pretzel mixture.

Variation: 2 cups fresh strawberries or 1 box frozen thawed strawberries can be used instead of the pineapple.
