4 cups of cooked wild rice
1/2 lb. of bacon
onion
1 can of mushrooms
1 can of sliced water chestnuts
1 stick of butter

Directions:
Directions:
Fry good quality sliced bacon that has been cut into 1/2 inch pieces with diced onion. Drain fat and blot thoroughly with a paper towel. Add 3 cups of cooked wild rice, mushrooms, and sliced water chestnuts. Melt butter and add to mixture. Cover and bake at 325º for 1 hour. Stir occasionally and if dry add more butter.
