2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 cup softened margarine
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tbs. water
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine and both sugars; beat in eggs, water and vanilla.

Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in chips and nuts.

Drop by tbs. 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 375 degrees.

Store in an airtight container. Makes about 6 1/2 dozen.

These are Don’s absolute favorite cookies. The first time our daughter Lauren made them, she didn’t use enough floor – six cookies covered the entire cookie sheet! Even thin and flat, they tasted great! For variety, use dark chocolate, white chocolate or peanut butter chips.
