This is most often fried, but it can also be baked like baking powder biscuits or as a larger loaf and sliced. Add raisins, currents or dried blueberries for a tasty addition. This has some regional variations across North American, but is the universal Indian bread. Local First Nation Restaurant advertises on their billboard. "Don't Panic! We've got Bannock!"
