1 apple, chopped
1 egg
3/4 c. sugar
3 T. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the chopped apple, egg, and sugar and set aside. Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix the flour mixture into the apple mixture and stir. DO NOT USE A MIXER. Add nuts and vanilla and mix. Put mixture in a buttered pie pan and bake for 35 minutes at 325 ºF. Take out of oven and pull edges away from pan while still warm. Serve with ice cream, whipped cream, or rich milk. Serves 4 to 6.
