1 1/2 c. evaporated milk
2/3 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. butter
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
1/2 c. butter, melted
1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream, softened
1 1/2 c. roasted Spanish peanuts
1 tub (12 oz.) whipped topping, thawed

In saucepan over medium heat, combine evaporated milk, chocolate chips, 1/2 cup butter and powdered sugar. Bring to boil and cook 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Cool thoroughly. In large bowl, mix crushed cookies and 1/2 cup butter. Press on bottom of 9x13 inch pan; freeze until firm. Spread softened ice cream over crust and freeze until firm. Spread top with cooled fudge sauce and sprinkle with peanuts; freeze until firm. Spread with whipped topping and freeze until firm or overnight.
