3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 T. poppy seed
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 tsp. butter extract
1 1/8 c. oil
2 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. milk

Glaze:
1/2 c. orange juice
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
1 tsp. butter extract

Directions:
Directions:
Soak poppy seed in milk to soften. Mix oil, eggs, and sugar before adding other liquids. Mix dry ingredients together and gradually add. Pour into 2 loaf pans and bake at 350º for 1 hour. As soon as you remove from oven, use a skewer to poke holes in hot loaves. Pour glaze mixture over and down sides and let soak in pans for 10 minutes. Loosen sides and turn out of pans, flipping right side up quickly. (This is kind of messy and they'll still be hot.) Let cool and wrap.

Best a day or two after baking if you can resist the smell. For additional treat spread with cream cheese. Freezes well.
