Directions:
Place milk, sugar, salt and butter into a saucepan. Heat over low heat until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Cool to lukewarm. (Can also do in the microwave)

Put hot water into your mixer bowl and add the yeast. Let dissolve while first mixture is cooling. Add milk mixture to the mixer bowl after cooled and add 4 1/2 c. flour. Attach bread dough hook at mix on speed 2 for 1 minute. Add remaining flour 1/2 c. at a time and mix 1 1/2 minutes or until dough starts to clean the sides of the bowl. Knead 2 minutes longer until the dough is smooth and elastic. Place dough in a huge buttered bowl and cover with buttered plastic wrap. Let it double in size, then punch down. Let it double again and punch down again. Let dough double again, punch it down and separate it into your 2 buttered bread pans.

Poke with a fork several times and turn your oven to 400º. When it's preheated, they should almost be ready to put in (only doubled or it'll flatten out in the oven if they get too big-if they are too big, punch down again and let double) Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.

Remove from pans immediately and cool on wire racks. Makes 2 loaves.
