1 1/2 lbs. ground beef or chuck
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 cup cracker or bread crumbs or
3/4 cup rolled oats
1 medium onion, chopped
1 egg
sprinkle of garlic powder,optional
Sauce:
1 1/2 cups tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Loaf: Mix all ingredients, except those for the sauce, and form into a loaf. Go ahead and use your hands to do the mixing. Place the loaf in a shallow baking dish large enough for the sauce to surround the loaf. Place in a 350º oven.
Sauce: Combine the ingredients in a small saucepan and cook over low heat until it begins to bubble. Drain the juices and fat that have cooked out of the meatloaf and pour the sauce over the loaf. Continue baking, basting occasionally with the sauce, for 1 hour.
