1 1/2 c sugar
1 c butter or margarine
2 beaten eggs
1 c molasses
1 tbsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp ginger
4 c flour
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp allspice
bit of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs and molasses. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir into molasses mixture until blended. Roll dough into small balls. Dip top in white sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet - do not press down. Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes. They crack on top when done.
