1 lb. sausage
3 1/2 cups baking mix (like Bisquick)
3 cups shredded cheese (I like sharp cheddar)

Preheat oven to 350º Put all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and mix well. You will have to use your hands! Shape into 1 inch balls. Place on grased cookie sheet. (you will have enough to fill 2 cookie sheets) Bake 15 minutes or until just golden brown. Serve hot.

This is Larry's nephew, Aaron's, favorite Christmas food. The dough is very thick and you really have to work with it. The sausage balls reheat well in the microwave.
