1 lb. stew beef, cubed (I use more than 1 lb)
1 med. onion, sliced
3 carrots, peeled & sliced (I usually add more)
2 stalks celery, sliced
3 med. potatoes, chunked
1 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. Tapioca
1 tsp. salt
Pepper, to taste
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 beef bouillon cube dissolved in hot water
Sprinkle of dried basil (I usually don't add - although it adds a nice taste)

Place all ingredients into a 3 quart casserole dish. Cover and bake at 275º for 4 hours. (I usually start at 285º for an hour or so then raise the temperature to 300º.
