1 c. Shortening
1 1/2 c. Sugar
2 Eggs
2 T. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla
4 c. Flour
1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 1/2 tsp. Cream of Tartar
pinch of Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, mild and vanilla. Stir. Add flour mixture.
Form into round balls. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350º-375º for approximately 10 minutes.
Dough can be used for cut-out cookies. Roll dough our on floured board to approximately. 1/8" thick. Cut out and decorate as desired. Bake as above
