1/4 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sliced onions
1/2 lb sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 lbs round or boneless chuck steak, sliced 1/4" thick
2 tbsp flour
3 med tomatoes, peeled or 1 can diced tomatoes (28 oz)
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:
Saute onions in shortening 10 minutes; add mushrooms, cover and continue cooking 5 more minutes. Remove onions and mushrooms. Cut meat into 1" strips; brown meat slowly and sprinkle with flour. Stir well. Add tomatoes and seasonings to meat. Cover and simmer very slowly for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add mushrooms, onions and sour cream; simmer again for 1/2 hour. Serve over cooked noodles.
