3 c flour
2 1/2 tbsp sugar
4 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 c margarine
1 c milk
1/2 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cream of tartar. Add margarine and mix till crumble. Add egg and milk. Mix with fork. Turn dough onto lightly floured board and knead lightly--5 strokes. Roll or pat into 1/2 inch thick round and cut with 2-inch cutter. Place on baking sheet and bake at 425 for 10 mins. Makes about 30 biscuits.
