oreo pie crust
1/4 cup pecan pieces toasted and coarsely chopped (optional)
25 -30 individually wrapped caramels
1/4 cup canned evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 Tbsp butter or margarine

garnish sweetened whipped cream

sprinkle pecans on crust (optional)

Caramel layer: heat caramels and evaporated milk, stirring often, until caramels melt and mixture is smooth. pour over pecans.

Truffle layer: Heat chocolate chips, cream and butter over low heat until chocolate melts and mixture is smooth. Pour over Caramel layer and refrigerate 4 hours, until set
Before serving pipe or add whipped cream.

I double the caramel layer. Best when sits out for awhile before serving!
