1 1/2 cups corn oil
3 eggs
2 cups sugar
3 cups plain flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups chopped apples
Sauce:
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 stick margarine
1 tsp. white Karo syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the first four ingredients together. Then mix the rest of the ingredients for the cake and add the mixtures together. Pour into floured and greased tube pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hour.
Sauce: Cook sauce mixture 7 minutes. Pour warm sauce over cake slices as served.
