1-1 1/4 lbs ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion or 2 Tbsp instant minced onion
1/4 c. diced green chilies or green pepper
1 can Tomato sauce
2 tsp chili powder
1/2-3/4 tsp garlic salt
1( 8oz) can refrigerated buttermilk or country style biscuits
1 1/2 c. shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
1 egg, slightly beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef, onion and chilies in a lg frying pan; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt. Simmer while you prepare dough.

Separate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits; pull each apart into 2 layers. Press 10 biscuit layers over the bottom of ungreased 8" or 9" baking pan.

Combine 1/2 c. cheese (reserve remaining cheese for topping), sour cream and egg- mix well. Remove meat mixture from heat and stir in sour cream mixture, then spoon mixture over dough in the baking pan.

Arrange remaining biscuit layers on top and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake @ 375º for 25-30 minutes- or until biscuits are deep golden brown.
