6 lg. eggs
2 cups milk (non-fat or low-fat are okay)
1 cup half and half
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 long loaf French bread, cut into 1" slices
¼ lb butter or margarine, melted
1 T. corn syrup
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup light brown sugar

The night before: Mix eggs, milk, half and half, vanilla and cinnamon. Line bread in a large baking pan (angle the first slice on the edge of the pan and then lean each piece on the one before). Make two rows of bread. Pour egg/milk mixture over the bread, cover and refrigerate overnight to soak the bread.
In the morning: Preheat oven to 350º. Mix butter and corn syrup and pour over the bread. Mix walnuts and brown sugar and sprinkle on top of bread. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden.
