2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
16 oz. bag chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites, salt, cream tartar, and vanilla to soft peaks. Add sugar gradually. Beat to stiff peaks. Save back 2 doz chips to place on top of each unbaked cookie. Fold in remaining chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet which has been covered with a plain paper bag (parchment paper would probably work). Bake at 300 degrees for 25 min, or until done.

One of my first cooking favorites was making these unique cookies. I made them every chance I got, for Rainbow Girls, MYF, and school dances. Not one to waste anything, Mom found an Egg Yolk Cookie recipe to make use of my discarded egg yolks!
