1/2 cup rock salt
1 cup tender quick
1 gallon water

Marinate turkey or chicken in mixture for 24 hours. Wrap in heavy foil and bake 12-18 hours at 200º.

Mom bakes it in about 9 hours at a higher temp, 250-300º.
