Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
2 tbsp. corn syrup
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sugar and corn syrup in heavy sauce pan on top of the stove on medium-high. Add a small amount (approximately 1/4-1/2 cup of water). Cook until syrup makes a soft ball when dropped into water. If you cook it too long, the icing becomes too sugary and hard - add water. Beat 2 eggs whites, pour hot liquid into the egg whites and beat. Add vanilla.

As soon as the cake comes from the oven and can be turned onto a plate, pour liquid icing over cake. Do the same to the second and third layers making sure to ice all sides. Cover, wrap and let sit in a cool area until ready to serve.
