1 1/2 cups water
1 tsp ground cinnamon, plus more for topping
TOPPING:
20 red hot candies, plus more for garnish.
2 T butter 2 ( 9 inch ) unbaked refrigerated pie crust
6 granny smith apples, peeled & cored

Directions:
preheat oven 400 * F. Lightly butter 9 x 13 baking dish. In sauce pan ,combine sugar & water , spices and 20 red hots. bring to a boil and set aside.cut pie crust in 3 wedges, wrap apples and set in baking dish. sprinkle sugar & cinnamon over each fruit & a wedge of butter. pour hot syrup over apples and in center. bake 50 min. baste every 15 minutes. serve warm.
