1 cup sugar
1 stick butter or margarine
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup light Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
3/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter, by gradually adding the sugar until well blended. Mix the rest of the ingredients into the creamed mixture. Bake at 350 º, for 45 minutes or until crusts are browned and the filing is set. Check to see if crusts are browning too quick. If they are then cover the edges with aluminum foil.

This recipe will make one large pie or two small ones depending on the purchased pie shells. Two, 9 inch pie shells work very well.
