2 cups self-rising cornmeal
1 3/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Spray cast-iron skillet with Pam. Add about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Put in 450º degree oven for about 5 minutes or until hot.

Combine cornmeal, buttermilk and oil, stirring until ingredients are moistened. Pour batter into hot skillet. Bake at 450º for about 25 minutes or golden brown.
