1/2 (15 oz) refrigerated piecrusts
2/3 c. sugar
1 T. ground cinnamon
4 large eggs lightly beaten
1 c. light corn syrup
2 T. butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 large egg white, lightly beaten (optional)

Directions:

Unfold piecrust and fit into a 9-inch pieplate or deep dish if you prefer.

Stir together sugar and next 6 ingredients (sugar through almond extract) in a medium bowl until blended.

Pour filling into piecrust. Brush edges of piecrust with beaten egg white, if desired.

Bake at 350º for 40 minutes or until filling is set, shielding pie with aluminum foil after 25 minutes to prevent excessive browning.
