Random memories:

From Maynard March 8, 2002:

I remember when we (Wayne C, Charles H, Johnny W, Charles E, Willis R, Conrad S, and me) sat on the radiator at the top of the stairs (at CHS) and watched the girls go by. Does anyone remember Willis driving his coal truck to school? I remember Nancy, Helen and Gwinda’s smiles. I remember Kaye’s laughter.

From Margaret Trent March 28, 2002:

I remember the time Mrs. Carico lined us all up (the ones who had failed the spelling test) and gave us a swat with that thing (a cats paw). I thought I’d be smart and wear a skirt, thinking it would get caught in the material and not hurt so bad. Boy, was I wrong. She was scary. (Don't we miss Margaret?)

From Eb: Yes, Virginia, there is a "paw-paw". I liked it when the skin turned black. How about gooseberries and chinquapins?

Eb says he knows why the class of '61 is so special. Take 1961, turn it upside down and it's still 1961.....
