2 c. bread chunks—crumbs
2 c. hot milk
2 eggs beaten
½ c. sugar
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. cloves
¼ tsp. nutmeg
¼ tsp allspice
4 T. melted butter
1 c. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Add sugar to eggs, then milk. Pour over bread. Add spices, salt, and raisins and then add butter. Stir well and pour into a greased baking dish. Bake until firm---(Mom added here---about 1 hour at 300°.)
