1 tbsp yeast
1/4 c warm water
1 tsp sugar
-let rise 10 minutes
4 c flour
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp salt
1 1/4 c butter or margarine
-mix together, then cut in butter until size of small peas
2 large eggs
1 c scalded milk, cooled
-beat eggs, add cooled milk & yeast

Mix together until sticky dough forms. Place in a greased bowl and cover with wax paper and a towel; refrigerate minimum 6 hours or overnight. Divide dough in half; roll to 3/8" thickness. Cut into 4 squares and fold each corner to the centre. Push thumb in to seal corners, making about 1/2" depression. Lay on greased cookie sheet 2" apart. Beat egg and brush the top of each square. Put a piece of cream cheese in centre, then 1 tsp of jam in hole; cover again with wax paper and leave on counter for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with 1/3 c chopped pecans. Bake at 400 for 18-20 minutes until lightly browned.
