Notes: Harold Davis & Jerry Nixon reunite in Okinawa By: Jerry Nixon
It was the year 1965 and I was stationed in Okinawa with the Air Force. I went to the Chow Hall to eat breakfast and I heard a voice in the building that sounded familiar. I couldn't believe my ears! I yelled "Dy-no-mite" with lots of lung power and Harold Davis came to see who was yelling his old nickname. He saw me and screamed to the top of his lungs "Nixon". It was a joyous reunion! Little did I know that he would be in my wedding and I would marry his first cousin. Harold and I became very close friends and I truly miss him. ******** Gail tells the story that when she decided to marry Jerry, Harold came by her house to take her for a drive, telling her that Jerry, who is 5 years older, was a nice guy but he was just too old for Gail. Gail married him anyway. When Harold decided to marry, Judy was much younger than he. Gail went to Harold's house, got him in her car, and gave him the exact same lecture. Both marriages turned out exceptionally well for those two cousins.
