1 Peck Green Tomatoes
2 c. Salt, divided
5 lb. Onions
2 lb. Light Brown Sugar
1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Ground Cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Cut off stem -- slice in kettle until half full -- sprinkle over with 1 c. salt. Fill kettle with tomatoes and another c. salt.

Pour boiling water over the tomatoes until you can see it and cover for the night.

In the morning, pour off liquid and rinse twice with cold water -- drain. Slice 5 lb. onions in kettle. Pour in vinegar until visible. Add 2 lb. or more of light brown sugar.

Take 4 little bags of double cheesecloth -- Divide 1 tsp. of ground cinnamon and 1/2 tsp. ground cloves. Put in kettle and cook for 2 hours. Put in jars!
